Hello and welcome to the website of Claudia Gazzini.

 

I am an Italian historian with a general interest in the Middle East and North Africa in the XIX and XX century, but at the moment my research focuses on the history and politics of Libya. I am currently a Max Weber postdoctoral fellow at the European University Institute (EUI) in Florence, but before that, I was a doctoral student at Oxford.

 

In the following pages you will find a short biographical sketch, a selection of published articles, a description of my academic teaching and a photo gallery that contains some images from my past reportages. You can also access my weblog, called I-Claudia, with daily (inshallah) entries or chronicles. Occasionally you might also find random thoughts, news commentaries or book reviews, at times in Italian, others in English.
